I checked the fuse and relay's I could find but they are okay. Am I missing something somewhere?

What year? Grand Marquis or the smaller Marquis? How did you conclude fuse and relay were good? Did they have power that far? From there typical set up is to go to a resistor that allows for various speeds. Does power make it to that? Test with a test light. If you are just looking that isn't enough, T

My car is a 2000 Mercury Grand Marqis. The 30 amp fuse under the dash is okay and the 50 amp in the power management box under the hood is good. I also checked the a/c relay under the hood on the drivers side by swapping it with one of the other two that are all next to each other and it was okay. Not sure where else to look.

A/C relay should be for the compressor only not the blower. Keep in mind the car is available (rare) without A/C at all - just heat. How are you testing for power? You need to know if power is at the fuse with a test light and move on or back if not there. This could be the control head not sending the signal - we don't know yet. Is this ATC or manually controlled only? Keep in mind it's the same blower for heat or A/C, T

There is a possibility the blower resistor has completely failed. If it burns through all the resistors and the by-pass wire, you will have no current at the blowerr. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

You have some pretty solid advise going so I won't confuse things here. Just a couple of quick questions. Is this an auto or manual control system? How did you check for power? Most of the electronic in this system operate off the ground side. If there is actually no power to the motor, Then you have a bad fuse or bad power feed wire..

The a/c is an automatic system and I checked the two wire plug going to the blower with a volt meter. Since I know the fuse if good do I have to check those two wires all the way back until I find a bad spot?

There should be power on one wire with the key on. I believe it's a straight feed off the #9 fuse. If the fuse is good and there is no power on the wire, then it would have to be traced out. You might want to double check the power source, if you have a test light, try that as well just be sure there is no power.....

That system didn't have a resister. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

With ATC it's listed as a "Blower Control Switch" for speeds - pricey thing as they go.......... $150 +/- T
