My dodge shadow stopped blowing out heat one day, ( its the middle of winter and I need it to unfog my windshield) anyway, I can still feel heat coming from the vents, but its not blowing out. An obvious choice was to get a new blower motor , which I did, and I installed it but it still doesn't work !! brand new blower motor =( I tested the motor by touching the 2 wires directly to the battery, it works fine, but for some reason when its installed in my car it doesn't turn on, if anyone knows any possible tests / fixes I would appreciate it. Thank you

Mike; Check the heater ducting under the dash. One or more of them could be loose, or have fallen off. Loren SW Washington

To add... Check to see if the fuse is blown. Also check to see if there is voltage to the blower motor and make sure the blower has a good ground.

I checked the fuse and it was fine. how would I check if there is voltage to the blower motor? im not really sure how to do it, also could you exlpain how i can make sure it has a good ground, cas im not sure even where the ground wire is. Thanks also, the new blower motor I got only has 2 wires on it, orange and black, the blower motor I used to have had a green and black ( so does the car , it has green and black) i connected orange to green and black to black, i didn't see a ground wire anywhere. also, what is the heater ducting? cas im not really sure. Thanks guys!

Mark; I misread your original post. I thought that you were getting 'some' flow through the vents, just not enough. So, I assumed the blower motor was running. Oooops. Sorry to mislead you. Loren SW Washington
