Hi, I recently re-charged my Toyota Celica's A/C with one of those re-charge kits. For the first day it worked great, but the next day became hot air again. When I put the freon in was within limits with the gauge, but now without running the car it's in the red. There's no leaking freon, rather a build up of pressure on the low side. Does that mean there is something else wrong with the system? Or, is that normal for a car sitting in the sun all day? Any help would be great. Thanks.

The first thing you need to do is throw away that kit. You need to use a real set of gauges to get accurate high and low readings to have any idea what is happening in the system.
Yes the ambient pressures will rise on a hot day. They really mean nothing for your problem as long as they are over 50PSI
