Blender door keeps popping back to hot air

2000 Dodge ram 1500 3.9 140k miles. I have an intermittant AC issue. The AC blows strong cold air for a while then I hear a popping sound, which i believe to be the blender door, then I only get hot air. Is there a switch or actuator that needs to be replaced?

That does use a actuator to control the heat. As long as the power is constant and the door isn't broken you are probably looking at a bad actuator
