Air Conditioning Sign In

I am going to add air-conditioning to a 1994 toyota half-ton pick-up, 2 wheel drive, manual trans, 22re engine. Does anyone know if the evaporator coil is supposed to be located in the heater box with the heater core, or is it going to be located in a seperate box just for the evaporator coil ?

About the only way your going to be able to accomplish this is to buy an complete aftermarket kit. Trying to change this to a factory system would be nearly impossible. All the wiring is different, the entire heater box is different, all the brackets and pulleys on the engine are different and with the year of your car, none of this will be available any more. This is a much bigger undertaking than you ever dreamed it would be.

Opionion: There are some decent aftermarket kits OR get all the parts from a salvage vehilce exactly as yours. Major undertaking as Hammer said and probably not worth what the vehicle is worth! Guess -2-3 grand to do that right at best!
