If the air gap is adjusted correctly, then it would be a weak clutch coil. It's a 3 piece clutch that has to be replaced. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You would have to Google around to find out. It's pretty basic if you have room to do it on the car. Otherwise you will have to evacuate and recharge.

In that tapping it works it's too much gap - no parts - just adjust it, T

Make sure it's not too close now and making any contact when off. Usually when a clutch suddenly has an excessive air gap, it's because the clutch plate wore down and it it didn't have excessive gap and just a weak coil, it will be too close now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

looked like someone had been in there before as instead of the required shimms in the cover, it had a 3/16th" flat washer. removed it and replaced it with the propper shimms. Adjusted it to .020". checked it several times with normal operation over the last couple of days. Thanks guys for the help.
