Ac clutch is free to move, and engagement is checked by powering it from battery. fuses and relay checked. However, when ac started the clutch engages and spin for couple turns then nothing. even if you start stop ac button there is no engagement. its Ford fiesta 2011 Please advice

The most common problem for a symptom like that is the charge being very low or even empty. It's best to have some type of training when working on an AC system. There is a lot of things that can go wrong. That being said there's tons of DIY kits out there and a lot of people will tell you it's easy, and it is, until it isn't and then there's a problem. The best advice I can give you if you aren't experienced in AC, is to take it in to a shop. But even better advice if you're going to do it yourself is don't get any of those cans with that stop leak or any other magic potion in it, all that stuff does is wreak havoc on a system and can create bigger more catastrophic problems, basically taking a system that has a small leak to one that now needs a complete refit

Totally with Sidom. #1 reason is low charge = leak. It has enough to even try could be sniffed out or see oily evidence. As he said it's so involved best to find the right shop for most folks. It's probably not ruined but would be if fooled with all wrong like the DIY cans now confused say they are better or solve issues - not! Could be used if pure still takes so much cost in tools/equipment + know how to use it, it's a profession aside from general car/vehicle repair. Read anything you find it's dangerous will follow you to buy something quick and easy and it might be so get pro help most of the time, Tom

One more with the same answer.......... It is critical that the refrigerant charge is precise to the specified weight. There are very few true AC technicians around. It requires years of experience and understanding of how refrigeration systems work. I made a living off of repairing AC systems that someone else tried to fix first and it usually costs much more than it would have in the first place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
