I have a 2005 chevy uplander with 55000 miles. i got in an accident in dec. and the air bags deployed but only hurt the front bumper. everything worked fine after we got it back from body shop untill we turned the air on. now that the air is on it is the only thing that works. You cant turn the ac off with the button or get the air to come out anyplace but the vents and no hot air at all. a mechanic said it might be the air conditioner module . any opinions please

MENNES: Accidents can be expensive or worse dangerous - be glad if nobody hurt first. Hope this was insured. You should have have six months for "unseen" damage to get fixed. Hard to say what got damaged as this is collision not just wear out of parts..
Actuators for where the air flow comes out and temperature may have taken a hit unseen or problems with control head. If in fact this is all controlled by a body control module that has to be determined.
If compressor stays engaged for some reason and do go watch the outer plate it shouldn't if cool out. Very hot they can stay operating/engaged. If it's staying on pull its relay or plain unplug it and tie the plug away till this is fixed. If it stayed compressing when too cold it would return liquid to compressor and lock it! You don't want that added to the problems. Because this is physical damage not sure I can advise much more and it really should be seen hands on. In that air bags deployed, the trauma was enough for many possibilities,
