AC Condensor on 03 Chevy Venture	Sign In

Just used UV and found a decient sized leak on the bottom right side of the condensor. Instead of paying $200-500 for a new one I was looking around and saw that there are several "Stop Leaks" out there like Bars etc. I was wondering if anyone has used these before and how they work. Or if I should even waste my time and money.

Don't even think about trying that. All you will accomplish is trashing and plugging up the rest of your system and you'll still have the leak. Replace the condenser and dryer and then have it professionally evacuated and recharged.

Not convincing enough Hammer.

Do you know what that stuff can do to your A/C system?

Not what you had in mind for sure.

You can do the part replacement and have it vacuumed and charged properly when done. Many condensers are not that expensive - the whole system is!
