A/C problems - 09 Murano

I have a 2009 Murano S. It just hit 80k miles. This is the first problem I've had from her! About a month ago we were driving down the interstate a couple exits. I had the AC on level 2 or 3. I noticed the compressor kick off for 10-15 seconds and then come back on. It did it a couple times. Happened one other time after that. Yesterday, I was driving to work. AC was working and then all at once the compressor went off and it won't kick in anymore. I tried recharging it, but it never sucked any of the refrigerant into it. I then tried the self diag test where you hit the ignition 5x, door 10s, and ignition 3x again. I listened and the compressor never turned on. Any ideas? Time to take it to a mechanic? Thanks for your help!

YES it is time for a professional to look at the vehicle. Be sure to relate all you have tried and done. Choose your technician as you would any professional be it an physician, attorney or financial advisor. Ask friends, family, colleagues, neighbors or fellow church members for their recommendations and check for accreditation and licenses.

That video is in all Arabic. I don't know what vehicles over there do but that is not any self test that applies to US vehicles. It's probably some kind of secret terrorist code.............LOL PS, I'm deleting that link because they are not allowed here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
