A/C Sign In

I have a 2000 Chrysler LHS. I replaced the A/C Condensor because I was told it was leaking freon. Prior to doing so, the A/C worked fine until the freon would leak off. I went to have the a/c system recharged, and the compressor will not kick in. The digital settings in the dash shows that the a/c in turned on, but the heater is blowing. I have had problems in the past with the digital display in the beginning of winter the last 2 years not turning the heat on, even though the display shows that it should be. I would only get cold air from the vents. However, eventually it would somehow correct itself and the heat would begin to flow with no further issues the rest of the winter. can the same problem be causing the a/c compressor to not kick on? If so, what can it be?

Did it work when they gave you the car back?

It was done in the winter, so I didn't check it.

You have an electrical issue that needs to be traced down with a wiring diagram. It would have had to have worked when he did the repair. It's entirely possible that the leak was misdiagnosed or it wasn't sealed correctly and the refrigerant has leaked out now. You'll have to start with gauges to see if it has any refrigerant now.
