A/C Issue 2000 Honda Civic	Sign In

So the Ac in the car suddenly quit blowing cool air. Nothing preceded it, it merely went from nice cool air to relatively what the air was like outside.

We looked and the AC compressor Clutch wasn't spinning, so we replaced the clutch, however it still didn't work.

We were told the Ac clutch relay needed to be replaced, we were able to get the AC working when removing the relay and simply bypassing it with wires, however when putting a new relay in, it doesn't work.

Any thoughts? Its hot and I'm running out of patience.

I don't know who's been giving you advice but you need to stop listening to them. The compressor can be knocked out for hundreds of different reasons. The first thing you want to do is put a set of professional gauges on it to see if it even has enough refrigerant to engage the compressor. If it does, the the electrical circuit needs to be troubleshooted from a wiring diagram. A/C diagnosis is not really a DIY job as you'll soon find out.

You're probably gonna what to follow HT's advise here an make sure you have refrigerant in the system before doing anything else.

Jumping the clutch with 12v via the relay terminal with no R134 in the system will burn your compressor up if a fairly short amout of time.
