97 venture van, the blower motor and speed control works, no a/c or vent controls(there is heat coming very lightly out of all vents and defrost). I checked all visible vacuum lines for leaks, and all fuses appear to be good. Thanks in advance to you the all Knowing and wonderful.

Is the compressor running? Is the accumulator cold? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Then your problem could be any of dozens of things. You will have to put gauges on it to see if it has sufficient pressure to engage and then troubleshoot the circuit with a test light and a wiring diagram. If you don't have an electrical background, then you probably should send it out to the shop for diagnosis.

Some cheap and easy tests: * Try bumping outer plate of compressor when it should be on. * If nothing then tell us the temp underhood and a static pressure - engine off is fine just like taking tire pressure. * Of course rule out any blown fuses. Start with the small stuff and let's see how hard this gets T

Are you trying to fix the a/c or vent controls?

Ah you are on board. Vents and control switch for a/c not working. More than one problem or related ?

All fuses have been checked, the vents are not functioning, blower motor runs, with speed control. Sorry so long between replies, too much work ... self employed
