1997 Ford Tarus, V6 3L OHV

first issue. yesterday i found my linkage between the stabilizer bar and strut on my rear left wheel is snapped.
today... i don't know how much more of this car i can take... MORE ISSUES TO ADD TO THE LIST!.... lets start with the story. on my way home from my friends house and i notice some smoke and knocking noise like its low on oil. i pull over to see what it could be. i check my oil. its perfect...(iv also been keeping an eye on the temp gauge because of the recent thermostat install, its idling at mid point) so i drive cautiously home and at the last stop sign my car stalls completely. and climbing hills to my house it was lacking power entirely, so i finally get the peace of junk home and have a cusen to check out the engine wile i get in and start and give it a rev to te RPMs its making the sounds at. he yells "STOP!"and i cut the engine off immediately and hop out. he points at the water pump.. its squirting water everywhere... i take off everything on the damn thing to get to the pump, take it out. there was no turbine at all. it was nothing but rust. so i head t napa and get one. lucky me the pump for that car was cheap. but i needed a lower rad hose to. that was more expensive then the pump its self... wtf... oh well. $60 in parts later and 14 hours of labor i made the repairs and give it a test drive... the lights seem brighter in the car. so i know there isn't as much resistance on the pully at the pump like the other rust bucket had. so i leave it running hop out. it all looks ok. but when i start driving up the drive way. i notice immediately. it still lacking power.. and sounding like its missing a cylinder or two... any body know what could be the problem?

at this point im getting very frustrated with this car. its upkeep is costing more then the monthy payments... yea. i just bought this heap-o-crap less then 3 years ago and should be makeing final payments here soon
collecting unemployemnt for another 2 months then im broke as can be. anybody know any ways of getting a cheap car thats relyable if fixing this heap is too costly

The first thing that caught my attention was that the water pump impeller was rusted away. This is from lack of maintenance. No car will be reliable without proper maintenance. If the cooling system was that rusty, and got that hot, there's a good chance that you've blown a head gasket, which could explain the loss of power and the rough running. This can be checked quite easily with a gas analyzer at most any shop that does emission repairs, or you can buy a chemical test kit as most parts stores. Either are able to 'pick up' exhaust gasses if present in the cooling system. Blaming the car is like "shooting the messenger".
