97 Expedition Low A/C port Sign In

97 Expedition with 4.6 V-8

Where EXACTLY is the A/C low charge port on this vehicle ?

Open the hood and look at the firewall area on the passenger side. You will see a cover with electrical junctions under it. There will be some heater hoses behind and below that. If you lift the heater hoses away, you will see the round black accumulator behind them. The charge port is on the accumulator about half way up.

Thank you again and again. I had looked under that shroud, saw the accumulator, but could not see the port. Leave to Ford to hide something so likely to be needed and accessible.

Now all I have to do get the connector attached.

If you think that's hard to get to, wait until you change the rear spark plugs..............LOL

That's nothing! Some you need to stand on your head, need 400 feet of hose, a two year old to help access stuff and things still screw up - LOL,
