I have a 97 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. I started having problems about 3 weeks ago when we first got freezing rain. The fan for the a/c and heat would not blow out of any vents, but I could feel heat leaking out slowly. The next day when I started my car, the fan was blowing fine. I again had problems last night. The heat/ac would not blow at all. I drove it about 20 minutes, and then let it sit. When I started it up 4 hours later, the heat was blowing fine again. It happened again this morning. No heat, and it was running for 70 minutes. About 5 minutes before my destination the fan kicked back in and was blowing fine. I have not noticed any other problems with the fan. It seems to work only when it wants to. I've been told it may be losing a ground or a faulty connection, but I would think the fan would not come back on if this was the case. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

If this has ATC and you ask for heat to the floor only the delay could be faulty for the fan. More likely is the blower motor itself is bad. Always worth checking connections and that it has a good ground. I don't recall right now but you might see that motor under the hood and with request for it to be on if you just tap on it, it may start right up and if so replace the motor. Some are underdash inside and harder to replace - I can't recall for this car right now, T
