I bought a 95 Nissan Sentra and knew the Ac needed recharging. So I did that. Sucker blew awsum cold air. The next day when I went to get back into the car and use the Ac the thing blows warm air now and the compressor wont kick in anymore. Do I have a leak? And if so how can I find it??

How did you think it needed recharging in the first place and how much do you add of what to this? Leaks account for some 65% of all A/C problems and can be tough to find if slow. This one seems fast or something else gave up.

If you can get at least a static pressure and the temp underhood that would help - also what was the pressure before you charged it and the pressures - both high and low when you did get it to blow cold air?

One more - Was anything in the charge other than plain 134a refrigerant such as conditioners or sealers?

I hooked up a recharge valve to the low end and it said '0' so I thought it needed to be recharged. After it took all the R134 the arrow then read in the red. I also had the car running and the a/c button pushed and the blower on max. After a bit after the recharge the compressor kicked in and it started blowing cold air. Even when I drove it around that day it was fine. It was the next day when I got back in the car to drive it I noticed the compressor wouldnt kick in and the air was warm.

And I added one can of R134 only. No stop leaks or oil.

If the gauge read less than 50 without compressor running (ave day needing cooling) then the system was essentially empty with a large leak. Low pressures or a zero (or negatives) are about a certainty of contamination with air so leak must be found, fixed and at a minium 29 or better Hg vacuum held then a charge to correct weight.

Look for oil spots around and on anything that hold refrigerant. Check behind compressor's clutch for oil evidence for a shaft seal leak.

If none found visually you can try soapy water and check for oil in condensate tube - after that if no luck an electronic sniffer should find it. Time is of the essence as moisture which is likely involved causes problems and can make oils corrosive causing early component failures. Find the leak now while there may still be something in the system,

Just curious - does what you are using look like this? That's called a DEATH KIT in the trade,

No didnt look like that. Mine was from my Uncles shop. Was in a different bottle with a different hose and gauge.
