I have a 1989 Toyota Truck DLX 2wd, about 170k miles. Cambers off, bad oil leak, but thats another story for another thread For a long time, the A/C does not blow out any cold air, and the heat doesnt really get very warm, which wasnt a problem really, as long as i could get some air circulation. However, now when i click the fan switch to low it doesnt turn on, it also doesnt turn on the 2nd, or even 3rd, only on the HIGHEST fan speed does the fan turn on, at which point its just overkill, blowing out loud luke warm air, no matter the setting you have on. So, how do i make the fan work on low-med-high settings again. and if possible how would i go about making my heater and A/C work?

You most likely have a burned out Blower Resister. It's not a big deal at all. It's located in the heater box under the dash on the passenger side, right next to the blower motor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

So the blower resister will make the fans turn on properly, I'm assuming. Any trick to making the heater and/or A/C work better?
