I have this car it has a 4.6L motor and again this is a 2008 Lincoln cont. signature series. Not too long ago this problem began. At an idle the AC works great at 30 mph it works fine even at 50 mph (not as good though) but go to 70 mph and its like luke warm. I havn't done anything to the car or replaced any thing. but would like to have it working again the way its suppose to. thanks for any and all replies

Would be interesting to see what the system pressures are. If you can take it to a shop, they can put a set of gauges on it and drive it to see what the pressures are up to when it doesn't blow cold.

How long do you have to drive at that speed for this to happen, assuming you went directly to that speed?

It can be real but check that the lower air dam is in fact there under bumper. Some easily get knocked off in harmless parking situations/curbs etc.

Those help direct flow of air thru grille making a vacuum underside and if that is pressured up by wind speed the fan would be compromised and hence cooling would drop off at speed when you would think air speed would be helping. Easy check. Those aren't there for good looks,

T
