I got my Dodge avenger in January '08. I have had no problems with it, until recently, when I use my defroster it makes a trickling of water sound when it's on the cooler temperature side. And when I make any left turns, the blower sounds like it is blowing harder and it's starting to sputter a little. Nothing happens when I make right turns. Not to mention, now I'm noticing that in the morning when I first get into my car, the inside of my windshield is foggy right in the center. I was wondering if anybody had any idea what this could be, what kind of money I'm in for, for getting this repaired?

Sounds like you've got some water in the HVAC case. It could be coolant from a heater core leak, condensation from the A/C not draining properly or a rain leak getting into the vent system possibly from a plugged drain in the outside vent. You'll have to isolate which it may be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Guess: Drain for heater box has water in it. There should be a rubber thing (elbow) to let A/C condensate out and bet it isn't. Does the car drip water if warm and humid enough where you are to ground? If not - it's likely plugged up. Here anyway - sometimes what I call mud wasps will plug that and a simple squeeze of the hose let's all the water out?? If you choose wire make sure it's no longer than a standard paper clip as you can damage stuff! T

I didn't think it was warm enough for A/C in most parts of the country except here.

37F at ~7pm here right now! A/C anyone? Laugh - heating bills are insane. I hate hearing the beeping back up of a truck delivering the bill! Tom
