2004 Town and Country AC Issue Sign In

2004 Chrysler Town and Country Limited 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 99000 miles

Check engine light is not on so no computer codes that I know of

The Rear AC vents blow out nice cold air, The passenger side blows out semi cold air and the drivers side blows out warm air. Control of all 3 zones are set to lowest setting. Does it have something to do with the 3-Zone Temperature Control infrared sensors or am i over thinking it? Any Ideas where to start would be appeciated

The heat in that vehicle is controlled by blend doors that regulate heated air flow. They are operated by electric motor/actuators. The problem can be that the actuator is stripped or inoperative or the door itself could be damaged. This is what needs to be determined by examining the actuator and see if it is responding to heat change commands or not.

THREE "zones!" - I thought two was dumb enoughCrazy

Not a Mopar guy but generally rear A/C uses an X vavle and fronts use an O tube. Still general but with both fronts only on full cold, full fan and raised idle take pressures. May, and I mean may be low on charge but don't add a thing until all observations suggest to. When or if using both and expansion valve and an O tube for front the X valve can steal the bounty of what's available over the O tube part of the system,

The A/C system does set codes but they are in the BCM and you can't read them without a professional scan tool. It would also tell you what the blend doors are doing and whether they are traveling full range.
You can also try pinching off one of the heater hoses going into the front unit to see if that changes anything in temperature.
