2004 Lincoln Aviator AC Problem

I have a 2004 Lincoln Aviator. Last summer the AC was just fine. This year, the air coming out of the driver side vent is not cool. It's not low on refrigerant and the other vents are putting out cool air. Any ideas?

What are your system pressures at what temp, RPM and so forth. Your symptoms are low refrigerant and how do you know it's at the correct charge anyway?? Almost all low cool or no cool problems are lack of refrigerant. Wally world gages are off by so so much they are called "Death Kits" and if that's what you use you may destroy $6,000 worth of A/C parts/labor but do as you wish, T

Tom could be right about it being low on refrigerant and you need a better way to determine that but you could also have a problem with the temp control actuator on that side since you say the other vents are cool. One way to isolate this would be to pinch off the heater hoses before the firewall and see if the temp cools down then. If so, then your looking at a blend door problem on that side only. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

It's all guessing right now Hammer. I've seen plain low charges that still work blow cold one side and not the other?? Pressures tell the story to me anyway. I'm hopiing a 2004 doesn't have diverter door issues at this point?? T

I gave him a quick test to find out in case he doesn't have gauges. If he can cool it down by pinching off the heat, that will answer the question for him, otherwise he'll have to get his hands on some gauges.
