2004 Chrysler t&c a/c issue Sign In

Hey all, I have a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country with 130000 miles on it. About a week ago the air conditioning in the front stopped blowing. There were no signs that I know of leading up to this, but I rarely drive it and my wife just shrugged her shoulders when I asked her. It blows great in the rear and when at highway speeds I can feel the cold air being forced through the vents in the front. At almost 10 years old and with this kind of mileage I don't want to dump too much money into the family wagon (it has several other annoying but tolerable problems with the automatic doors and locking mechanisms). Is this a fairly common problem with the front fans not blowing and is it generally an easy (inexpensive) fix?

Thanks much ya'll!

It's a 2004 car with a blower issue. This is minor. Do you get rid of them when the run out of gas too?..................LOL

If it lost all speeds at once it's probably a bad blower motor but you need to test for power and ground at the motor before assuming that.

May just be the blower itself. Check that power and ground get to it. Some will snap to if you give the motor a fair tap with a plastic hammer or screwdriver handle preferred and if that works it probably needs a motor.

Not sure of the difficulty factor to replace one which would be usually the lion's share of the expense if a fussy one to replace. Test first, don't just toss it as other things could be the cause,
