2004 Buick Century Air Conditioner blowing hot air

2004 Buick Century Custom 4 cyl 102,000 miles
Hi,
Today my car air conditioner started acting crazy. I will be driving along and it is working fine and then it will continue blowing as hard, but switch to hot air. Not just outside air, but heated air. As if the heater were on. When I move the tempurature switch up to Hot and back down, it switches back to cold air. Any idea what might be causing this?

Hmmm? What type control for temp does this use, a dial or digital for requesting temp? Is it automatic climate controlled or manual?
Are you sure it's really "heated" air as plain vent air can be 4-10 degrees higher than the ambient temps. So far it seems like the control head or maybe an actuator can't hold a blend door in place,
