I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The AC, fan, defrost, (every setting) does not work at all when set on setting 1,2, or 3. But when placed on 4, full power, everything works and the AC blasts cold air. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what needs replaced. I don't believe it is the thermostat, is there a relay or something that regulates the compressor?

Your problem has nothing to do with the compressor. You likely have a bad blower motor resister. It's located under the dash on the passenger side, mounted to the HVAC housing, right near the blower motor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
