2001 Grand Caravan:

I can only get warm air when I drive at higher speeds like on the highway.
I have already replaced the water pump. (it was leaking)
I have verified there are no flow restrictions through the heater core and all other fluid lines in the system.
The Caravan has Driver/Passenger temp controls as well as rear controls.
The problem exists on all three controls. No heat
All blowers are functional and engine temp is normal and coolant level is full.

What have I overlooked?

Does the primary heater hose (should be the smaller if two sizes) get warm/hot to the touch at idle speeds? Not sure if applicable but some had flow restrictors or one is listed and may be plugged a bit too much. If you get any heat at higher RPM see if the temp output is significantly higher on low fan speed?

Another thought but probably not the most likely is how strong is the antifreeze concentration? Too strong doesn't transfer heat worth a damn,

There is a small cylindrical device on the hose going into the firewall, it doesn't appear to be plugged at all,
and there are 2 lines parallel to the lines going through the firewall that run under the van to the rear which I believe are for the rear heat,
and I did not see a restrictor on either of those but it might be further back. Still I get no heat from either system, front or back.
The anti-freeze is a 50/50 preblend.

This has really got me baffled!!!

Are the heater hoses warm/hot going into firewall? No guessing - find out. Flow restrictor no guessing - did you look thru it?

Does this have a radiator cap one the radiator or just on recovery tank? You need to know it's full at the radiator not just that tank's markings.

Did this all happen with the new water pump? Anything else in history or did this all happen all at once?
