the heat in that vehicle is controlled by a blend door that regulates heated air flow. it is operated by an electric motor/actuator. The problem can be that the actuator is stripped or inoperative or the door itself could be damaged. This is what needs to be determined by examining the actuator and see if it is responding to heat change commands or not. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

For some reason i'm showing a cable operated blend door. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Not according to Alldata. That's where those pics came from. MODE DOOR ACTUATOR The mode door actuator is an electric motor. It mechanically positions the panel/bi-level door and the heat/defrost door. The actuator is mounted to the bottom of the HVAC housing on the left side. A potentiometer in the actuator allows the BCM (for both manual and ATC systems) to know the exact position of the doors at all times. The actuator is not serviceable and must be replaced if found to be defective. RECIRCULATION DOOR ACTUATOR The recirculation door actuator is an electric motor. It mechanically positions the recirculation door. The actuator is mounted to the right side of the HVAC housing. A potentiometer in the actuator allows the BCM (for both manual and ATC systems) to know the exact position of the door at all times. The actuator is not serviceable and must be replaced if found to be defective.
