I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus ES 6cyl 2.5. The AC started blowing warm when idle and a bit cooler when driving at highway speed, eventually it just stopped blowing cold air. I have tried recharging it, and at the time I charge it it blows slightly cool (not cold) for about an hour or so then it goes back to blowing hot air. I can hear the engine respond when I hit the AC button, but no cold air comes out of the vents. Any suggestions on what the problem may be, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Pressures needed at what temps. Charging it without knowing if that is even the problem will be if you don't have good info first and finding leaks + repairing them first. Can take lots of know how and equipment just to know what the problem is and if you just aimlessly charged it up you may have hurt it especially if a gauge on can full of garbage claiming to fix everything that can cost you a fortune to get out of. What was at least the static pressure when you began with just plain engine off? T
