I just bought a 1999 Ford Ranger v6 3.0 with 188,600 miles on it. It runs good and everything, and the A/C works, but only for about 20 minutes then it starts blowing hot air. I have to turn it off for about 30 seconds to a minute, then start it again for it to blow cold air. If anyone knows what could be causing this please let me know...Could to much freon cause it?

Yes - if pressures get too high it will shut down by itself but know there are many things that can need work for A/C problems. This could be several things causing this from a frost build up in evaporator to a excessive clutch gap at compressor's clutch and the magnet force to engage is less when they are hot. Unless you really want to study principles of A/C I suggest at least getting it diagnosed by a shop that is well equipped and does full service for A/C. You can blow more $$ doing something wrong on A/C then qualified help would cost, T
