1995 Sable Heater Help

Thanks to whoever replied to my other post about this problem. After doing what you said I have gotten a little farther. I'm guessing there must be a valve in the cooling system somewhere. Currently the car runs fine and does not overheat, UNLESS I run the heater. If I turn the heater on the car runs very hot but dosent actually overheat, it goes to the red line but stops and only blows hot when i first turn it on for about 35 sec, then it blows cold. I have done all sorts of stuff and I have come to the conclusion that there must be a valve somewhere that opens or closes when I turn the heat on. I can hear a click and the rpm's go down when I turn the heat on and if i leave the heat running every 20 seconds or so, I hear the click and the rpm's go back up to normal idle, then 20 sec or so its clicks and back down. When i pour water into the in or out hose that go into the firewall to the heater core water comes out the other side. I don't know whaere to turn to. I went online and looked for a heater control valve but everywhere says there isnt one for my car. What gives? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken

?? That's a new trick to me?? I'm guessing there's a problem air lock in this or just maybe the water pump has damaged impellers and can't pump enough coolant around?? T

I think the clicking and rpm fluctuations might be the a/c compressor being engaged. Check to see if the compressor is engaging. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
