1995 Olds 98 blower fan runs w/ ign. off	Sign In

1995 Oldsmobile 98 Regency w/climate control. 3800 engine 275,000 miles.

Blower motor bearings failed and motor locked up. I replaced motor w/cage and blown 30amp fuse marked a/c which provides power to the blower circuit.
After replacing motor and fuse it runs continuously , even with the ignition off. I was told by a friend that it probably is the climate control module.
I performed the following test: adjusted climate control to 90degrees and vehicle makes awesome heat.
adjusted climate control to 68 degrees and vehicle a/c activates and cools down.
try to adjust fan speed. Fan runs at full speed and will not adjust. Shows adjusting on digital display but fan does not respond
I am almost suspecting the relay for the blower motor, except that the inability to adjust speed makes no sense to me if it is just the relay. If I need to try the relay.......which one is it and where is it located? I have a multimeter and am able to use it if there are tests you would suggest. I appreciate any suggestions you can make. Thank You.

If you have auto temp control, then you have a blower speed control module and that is likely the cause of your problem. It happens quite frequently. It's located in the blower housing, next to the blower motor where you would normally find the blower resister.
