hi all, I have a 1989 delta 88 royale brogham with a 3800 engine, just today the blower motor will not shut off even when the key is off and out of the car, it also seems to be running only at high speed as the knob has no effect regardless of where it is positioned. Ofcourse when the double wires to the motor are unplugged, the blowere is off and prevents the battery from wearing down. But it is cold outside and i dont want to unplug and plug in the motor every time i use the car and want heat or defrost or dont want a dead battery. Thanks in advance

You need to remove the HVAC fuse from the main distribution box under the hood. You should still have low, and medium speeds. This is caused by the relay on the circuit board of the blower motor resistor sticking closed. To cure this, you need to replace the blower resistor. Steve
