2001 Saturn SL1, 1.9L, 5 spd, 122,000 miles When running on 12 oz. charge low side reads 50, high side 80 - when off both sides read 60 - compressor is quiet and clutch engages but air temp at discharge rises in temp by 10 degrees - no problems or symptoms before this happened.

If the compressor is running when you got those readings, then you have a bad compressor. Be sure to flush the system out thoroughly and replace the expansion valve when you replace the compressor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
