Toyota should use a slightly different approach right here shown - perhaps a nut or bolt and perhaps concealed under a cover which would just pry up. IF WIPERS WILL MOVE WITH THE VEHICLE OFF BY HAND (DON'T GO NUTS AND BREAK THEM TRYING) THEN THIS IS LIKELY AND HOPEFULL ALL THAT'S WRONG AND THE WEAK LINK WAS THE ARM ITSELF. If so - replaceing the arms with new or exact proper used should solve the issue. Make sure they are re-attached in the "home" position and best to make first try with them left UP off of glass and out of harm's way for a test as they usually can be adjusted to just where the path of travel will be. Trick for folks dealing with ice if so: Leave arm UP when weather could ice/snow or freeze wipers to window and warm up/clear window before putting them down for use. Not all wipers will stand up as said - Toyotas should all do that. Truck on right is in trouble. Truck on left has a chance and by backing in if you need a jump you're better off that way. The ones I found out there were in N. Dakota I think it said. That was just a measly 18" or so on an 89 Town Car. Lived here forever - recall 3 feet on April 1st 1995 (I think that year) all at once just over night - opened a door to stare at a print of the door in wall of snow that didn't fall in fortunately! That's excessive for even where I am - just ~ 25 mi.
