Sounds like a weak motor of binding regulator. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

If you suspect the switch is bad, do a voltage drop test across the switch. More than .5 volts and you have too much resistance going on. If the switch was dropping that much voltage, it would fry the contacts in it, but it doesn't hurt to check it. Good practice and it seems like you need to practice diagnosing electrical circuits if your going to be fixing other people's rides. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
