I have a 97 chevy tahoe with a 5.7 v8 I am trying to remove the waterpump but I can't get the fan clutch off. Can someone tell me what is the secret to getting it off.

You need to remove the big nut from the waterpump pulley area. I am not positive if it is normal theraded or left handed. You have to hold the water pump steady as myou loosen the big nut on the fan clutch
