my 93 plymouth acclaim has a trunk that will not open. after a weekend in the country i loaded all my gear into the trunk and closed it at this time i suspect the handle of a reusable shopping bag made its way into the latch of the trunk and since then it will not open. my first instinct is to just keep pulling on the lid of the trunk while pulling the trunk release handle so far this has not worked and i wonder if anyone knows a trick to open a jammed trunk. sadly i cannot even remmember on which side of the middle the latch is located or even what iy looks like inside so i am out of ideas before i even start and the key will not work to open it either.if anyone knows a trick for this minor yet very frustrating problem i would appreciate some advice. thanks

Bet you can get it open by sitting on the lid (protect finish) edge and while someone holds release for open just jockey up and down and it just might spring open and you'll be able to get the item jamming it out. Test the latch when open by fooling it and releasing it after that to make sure it's not going to be an ongoing problem as it will be easier to fix with it open of course T
