tempo dies then starts back up

my 1992 tempo just dies at any time. then i turn the car off count to ten turn the key back on and can hear the fuel pump then the car starts back up. it can happen at any time hot or cold. i dont know if its the fuel pump or something else. does some one know what would be causing my problem and how i can fix it? if i find out whats wrong i am capable of doing the repair just need to find out what is going on.

Replace Throttle Position Sensor and EGR sensor. checkout new Ford book _Ford and the American Dream by Clifton Lambreth
