starter diying?

starter diying? Sign In

ok when i start my car in the moring i hear a click noise the engine wont start i buy new batts and still does it some times its a stick shif i do push the cluth all the way down when i try to start it it wont then i try again and starts after the engine has been run it dont do it any more only happens to me in the moring..

what cause that? do i need a new starter soon?

i would look at your neutral safety switch on your clutch. also check the battery terminals are tight and clean on both the battery and other connections. New battery or not damaged or corroded batter terminals must be replaced

After a car has been running it is warmed up, the metal parts swell from the heat, and all condensations are evaporated off. Basically what you have is a poor connection somewhere in the system. Take them apart and clean them up with a wire brush and reassemble them tightly. Don't over tighten or you'll break something.
