changed the starter when i hook the battery back up the alarm system goes off is there a way to shut it off or disable it i don,t have the controler for the alarm i bought it used i don,t have it

I know on some alarms they install a little black push button under the dash in case you don't have the remote or the remote becomes inoperative...
first ,find the button, then turn the key on and push the button,alarm should go off. ( battery has to be connected).
