My 94 plymouth acclaim is in pretty poor health generally but more specifically the shocks, front and rear, start to be a little bit dead. As right now I have no use for the vehicule and will not need it until the end of january i consider putting it up on blocks so the tires dont freeze to the ground as where i live is very cold and snowy. Will this time off the ground give the springs a little break and or is there a tool with which one might stretch a spring over a period of time . The shocks are not completely shot and i dont consider it to be a major problem and I ask out of curiousity. thanks again

metal fatigue cannot be reversed. if the springs are bad or going they need to be replaced.
same thing goes for the shocks even if they arent leaking externally
