i drive a pontiac grand am 2001 and my service engine soon light came on i put it on the comptuer and it said no codes so i tried to erase the light and it came back as soon as i put it in gear and i cant get it off and its not showing anything wrong i tried pressing the reset button in the fuse panel but that didnt work iam going to do a tune up saturday to see if that helps...everything seems to run fine but in 2 trs its never had a tune up any ideas how to get the light off or if a tune up would get rid of the light

If it is the service engine soon light, there is a problem somewhere. There might be a problem with a sub-system that is not emission related. Have it scanned with a upper end scan tool that will read manufacturer specific codes.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
