By chance, have you had to top off your coolant recently. See if it has lost any.
Is the check engine light coming on at all?

I didn't ask you if it had any. I want to know if it has been consuming any over time, even small amounts.

Re: rough idle and miss fire Sign In

OK, these things have a know problem with the plastic intakes rotting out and they leak coolant into a valley area. It doesn't hurt anything at first but as the level rises, it gets suck into the intake and into the combustion chamber causing misfire and eventually it dies from fouling. You would have to pressure test the cooling system to test for this while listing in the intake for the gurgling.

Here is a TSB about it.
