A year ago i replaced the electric fuel pump on my mustang. When i turn the key i don't hear the whine that comes from the electric fuel pump. I was told it might be the relay for the fuel pump and it isn't in the fuse box inside the car. Where might i find this relay for the electric fuel pump?

If Ford is consistant look for a relay under the hood. Should be one with a green connector. If you have A/C that should be the relay (should be but check same part #) can be used as a test. Originals don't interchange. If you get to the fuel relay just get it out while connected and give it a tap with like the plastic end of a screwdriver and it may just click on. If so get a new one as that one can't be trusted and throw it out. Note: Ford uses bails the retain these things that you PUSH not lift and says PU on one side of the bail/clip and SH on the other. If they break you can just use a wire tie to hold it - the plastic zip type - not anything metal, T
