rear shocks 1998 pontiac firebird

I am sure this is a really stupid question, but does anyone know how to get to the top nut on the rear shocks of a 1998 firebird. The rear shocks are shot but I can't seem to figure out how I am supposed to change them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK: I'm up late and I'll give it a shot. I think you may find access thru the trunk and that was the way on some older cars than yours, T
