me with the cooling fan again. in your opinion, do you think it would be safe to drive the car about 12 miles to work tonight, and 12 miles back from work in the early morning? all non hiway? just wondering thanks

Any time there is a concern where the cooling fan(s) is/are not working,I do not recommend driving the vehicle.
Especially around town/stop and go driving.
Highway driving will force air across the radiator and keep it cool,but in stop and go/around town driving,it will rely more on the cooling fan(s) to keep the engine cooled.
To be on the safe side,i wouldnt....
If you let it over heat ,severe/costly damage can occur to the engine and radiator ..etc

Ooops! Just suggested some trickery on the other post. If in doubt at all about overheating don't use it as Jim said. You could hire a limo to go to work and back for ages for what the damage could cost to overheat!
