I have a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer with a 5.0L engine and 2wd. Searching for accessories online I came across power programmers that say they will add horsepower and torque, but I want to know if they can actually do that for my vehicle, or if it is for more aftermarket and offroad trucks plz help!

My opinion: I wouldn't go there at all. Just make it run as well as it was intended originally and it will no doubt save you a lot of headaches,
