poor gas mileage

we have a 1987 chevy sprint that went from 45 mile to the gallon to under 25 now we did have tha carb worked on this past winter and 4 months later the mileage has been going down

skeeter; That's quite a 'drop' in mileage. Make sure that the choke is opening all of the way when the engine is at normal operating temp. Check air filter, tire pressures, ect. Have the exhaust gasses analyzed. That will tell you if it is the carburetor causing the problem. Make sure that the engine is getting to the proper temperature.

Loren has some good suggestions.....I was just wondering though....an 87 sprint that was getting 45mpg?
