can't get car to shift out of park, the button won't push in
to release, any ideas????

 2004 chevy trailblazer, can't get out of park, depress brakes, but button still wont release, any

2004 chevy trailblazer, can't release button on shift to get into gear. I know that you have to depress brake pedal and hear the click, I hear that but sometimes still cannot get into gear...

Make sure brake lights work as that is usually part of the system and may be the problem, T
