2005, Toyola/ Solara 4cy 30,000 miles
used car, has been using regular oil 5w30, I heard putting in expenive synthetic blend would not do any good at this time and just stick will regular oil ?

It's not going to harm it. It's just recommended to pick something and stay with it, not keep switching.
